Common Problems in English Pronunciation Among Chinese Learners and Teaching Implications

In the process of learning any languages, pronunciation is an important part language acquisition because may influence a listener’s comprehension one’s expression. An example classical mistake pronouncing “sink” and “think.” Because Germans cannot pronounce /s/, rescue worker understand why man who “thinking” needs help. China, English learners are also facing problems pronunciation. Gimson, famous professor linguistics in Britain, pointed out that when language, one should 50%-90% its grammar 1% vocabulary, but it necessary to fully master pronunciation, thus highlighting importance pronunciation.[1] However, difficult second acquisition.
